COVID -19 VACCINATIONS

We know many people are interested in the COVID-19 vaccination and want to assure you that we are working through a priority list set by the Department of Health.

PLEASE DO NOT CONTACT YOUR GP ABOUT GETTING THE VACCINE.  WE WILL CONTACT PATIENTS IN ORDER OF PRIORITY.    See further information in our Latest News under Quick Links below.

Home Visits

doctors_bag1Please make any request for a home visit between 9am and 10.30am. This helps to plan the doctors’ work.

Details of the patient’s condtion must be given to the receptionist so that our doctors can assess the urgency of any visit.

Home visits must only be requested when the patient is medically unfit to attend the surgery.

Please note that home visits are no longer a routine part of modern medical practice.  Because of pressures on all medical staff, visits can no longer be offered as in the past. There is also a view that it is better and safer to hold consultations in the surgery where there are proper facilities for examination, full records are available and there is backup from nurses and other staff if further tests or other procedures are required.

If it is not practical for a patient to attend the surgery a telephone consultation can be offered instead.
